Community
Outreach
We are committed and eager to develop
our work in the community in an integrated and inclusive way,
so we are always keen to hear from any community groups who
would like to work with us on educational activities. We always
plan projects with community groups well in advance and ensure
they leave a legacy with participants after the project is
finished.
Depending on who you are or where you
are based, we might be able to raise funds ourselves to work
with you, or assist you with your own fundraising.
There are a number of benefits from
engaging your community group with Northern Ballet Theatre:
The chance to learn from professional
dancers and expert teachers.
The opportunity to combine design, music and dance creatively.
To enrich the lives of groups and individuals by nurturing
creativity and instilling self-confidence.
Gallery 37 Plus
Gallery 37 Plus is an intensive arts training programme, offering young people aged between 16 and 19 (who are not in education or employment) the chance to find out what it’s like to work in a creative environment. Northern Ballet Theatre, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Yorkshire Dance are leading the dance project, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop contemporary dance and ballet technique and experience other dance forms. Taking place three days a week during August, the project will introduce the young people to the energetic world of dance, challenging their creativity and motivating them to work towards a Young Person’s Art Award and a career in the arts.
